Gift Guide — Dedications and special occasions
Some moments deserve to be written in the sky
A Moon dedication is a gift for the moments that matter most. The ExplOrbit certificate is personalized with the names you choose and an optional dedication of up to 240 characters in your own words, and the territory is recorded in the ExplOrbit public registry, where anyone with the certificate number can verify it. It makes a meaningful gift for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, new babies, graduations, retirements and memorials.

How a Moon dedication works
Choose a territory from those still available, enter the name or names to appear on the certificate exactly as you want them written, and add an optional dedication: a date, a line from a song, a few words of love or remembrance. Your words are printed on the certificate and recorded with the territory in the registry.
Every certificate carries a unique number that can be checked in the public registry, so the dedication is not just printed, it is recorded. The certificate states plainly that it is a commemorative pledge rather than ownership, which keeps the gesture honest.
For couples: anniversaries, weddings and Valentine’s Day
Put both names on one certificate and add the date you met, the date you married, or the words you said. For couples who live apart, the Moon is the one thing you can both see on the same night, wherever you are.
It suits engagements, weddings, anniversaries of every year and Valentine’s Day, and it is a rare romantic gift that is also genuinely educational.
Birthdays, new babies and graduations
For a new baby or a first birthday, record the birth date in the dedication and look up which phase the Moon was in on the day they arrived. For a graduation, a territory and a dedication mark the beginning of a new chapter, and for a milestone birthday it is a gift that cannot be duplicated.
Because each territory is recorded once and retired from sale, the place in the registry belongs to that moment alone.
In memory of someone special
A Moon dedication can be a gentle way to remember someone. Many families find comfort in having a place in the sky to look toward, and a certificate with a loved one’s name and a few words of remembrance can be shared with relatives who live far apart, all of whom can see the same Moon.
It can also honor a beloved pet, or be sent as a thoughtful sympathy gift when flowers feel too brief.

- Can two names go on one Moon certificate?
- Yes. Add a partner, a family, siblings or a whole class. Whatever you enter at checkout is recorded on the certificate and in the ExplOrbit registry exactly as written, so check the spelling before confirming.
